Dr. Daryle Ruark is a Board Certified Orthopedics Surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgeries and shoulder surgeries. Dr. Ruark has a license to practice medicine in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. He is an attending at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts, and St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Ruark sees patients in our Springfield, Massachusetts, Bloomfield and Enfield offices. Dr. Ruark performs surgery at Mercy Hospital and Surgery Center of New England in Springfield, Massachusetts, and the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute (CJRI) at St. Francis Hospital. He graduated from Harvard University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and their three children, Derek, Jonny and Eva.

Brian Katz has been working as a Physician Assistant with Dr. Ruark since 2016.
Brian has greater than 25 years’ experience in Medicine, practicing as a Physician Assistant since 2008. He was formally the head of surgical physician assistant at Holyoke Medical Center, specializing in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery up until 2016.
He served on many committees including the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants (2014) and as the Director of Clinical Education for Bay Path University’s Physician Assistant program (2015-2016).
Brian graduated Cum Laude from Springfield College Bachelor of Science and later with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant.
Brian was the primary inventor of a Surgical Trocar device, filed on July 6, 2017.
